Freedom from Pain and Disease

We experience pain and disease if we do not do what our bodies were designed to do.

Executing poor movement technique will result in over- and mis-use of muscles, tissues, and joints in our intended movement(s). Pain and eventual injury (if done enough) are just signals to our bodies telling us to stop what we are doing (poorly), and adjust our technique to move how our bodies were designed to move, in accordance with nature (gravity).

Operating with the paradigm that we have to force things by using our muscles is the surest way to hurt and injure ourselves. This is the case because our muscles only respond in accordance to where our bodyweight goes. We should just fall in the direction where we want to go, and let our muscles do what they need to do, no more, no less. If we force things less, then our bodies will move how they were evolved to do, with proper technique (if we learn, practice, and train the necessary skills well).

We experience disease, namely chronic preventable diseases like obesity, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, cancer, and Alzheimer’s, for example, when we improperly fuel our bodies for the activities we do over a long time period. Chronic elevated levels of inflammation existing in our bodies from the consistent ingesting of high amounts of highly processed, and simple carbohydrates leads to the chronic preventable diseases that the majority of individuals in our society is dealing with, and dying from today. By keeping our intake of carbohydrates low, dietary fat higher, and protein at levels enough to support muscle mass, then we keep our inflammation levels low. By doing that, then we keep our insulin levels low, as well. This will prevent us from developing hyperinsulinemia, which is part and parcel with the development of those chronic preventable diseases.

Here, we are learning, practicing, and training proper nutrition and movement technique everyday in class.

This is the battle we are fighting everyday to declare, win, and sustain our Freedom from Pain and Disease.
